A bit about me.

I’m a 31-year-old dog dad, digital creator, copywriter, photographer and social media marketer currently based out of Denver, Colorado.

In 2013, I graduated from the Farmer School of Business at Miami University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, a Minor in Economics, and a thematic sequence in Spanish. Post-graduation, I returned to my hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, and launched my career in social media marketing at WPP’s digital ad agency, POSSIBLE (since rebranded as Grey Midwest).

While at POSSIBLE, I headed Community Management efforts for 10 CPG brands owned by the JM Smucker Company, as well as the restaurant chain Boston Market—and for certain events like the Super Bowl, was employed as the realtime Twitter voice of P&G’s Febreze. In this role, I not only managed our social communities and the deployment of always-on content, but helped develop the strategies behind the work and the concepts for our content, in close collaboration with teams of art directors, copywriters and strategic planners. I also produced the data-driven insight reports that our agency provided to clients.

I made a name for myself within WPP helping transform fans and followers into powerful advocates for our brands, and was chiefly responsible for a number of viral moments, interactions, and real-life events for the brands. In total, these viral moments produced millions of impressions and tens of thousands of engagements and comments across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, SBNation, and even MLB.com.

Outside of work I was a hobbyist photographer, and my art quickly caught the attention of the art directors I worked alongside. As word spread, I began getting resourced as a photographer to help produce content for our clients, and was promoted to Content Specialist, with my hours split between Community Management and Content Production in our in-house studio.

After four years at POSSIBLE, I was recruited to join Scoppechio, an Ovare Group Agency, in Louisville, Kentucky, to lead its new content department as it expanded from a traditional agency into the digital and social media space. At Scoppechio, I took on a much larger and more varied hybrid content creation and strategy role, leading small but efficient client-specific content teams, and producing endless amounts of photography, retouching, and caption copy for brands like Brown-Forman’s el Jimador Tequila, and Haier-owned GE Appliances.

In 2018, Meta (then Facebook) entered the Augmented Reality world with its launch of AR filters on Facebook and Instagram, and the ability to produce custom AR experiences through its release of the desktop-software suite Spark AR Studio. I had roughly zero experience in 3D, AR, or interaction design at this point, but I was a natural and a very quick learner. OvareGroup’s 3D expert and Immersive Experience Lead, Brandon Clements, took me under his wing as a mentee, and helped me develop a high-level skill set creating 3D assets in Blender, and programming them into highly shareable, interactive, immersive and intuitive AR experiences for the agency and clients like GE Appliances.

Many of the skills I developed in Blender applied to other content creation applications, like Adobe After Effects, enabling me to take on animation and video editing projects for our clients’ social media needs.

Then the pandemic hit. We roughed it out for nearly a year, but our clients’ social budgets were heavily impacted, as were the agency’s own financials. After surviving the first 3 rounds of layoffs, my position was impacted as well, and in January, 2021, my role was cut for financial reasons.

So what have I been doing since?

Great question. I’ve mainly focused on myself and expanding my content creation capabilities, via both self study and a number of personal and freelance projects. I enrolled in Codecademy last year and developed professional competencies in CSS, HTML, and responsive web design using Javascript. In addition, I took on various freelance AR projects for clients like multi-platinum hip hop artist Lil Durk.

’ve come back to the table with a fully refreshed passion for creating and helping build brand advocates and followings. I’m available for hire now on both a freelance and salaried basis, and more than ready to help your brand or ad agency hit its goals and reach new heights in social media and digital marketing.
