This was a solo project conceived, designed, and developed by myself for my former employer, OvareGroup. The project brief was to organically increase awareness of our agency holding company via an interactive, engaging, and highly shareable social AR experience. Since launching, The Floating Donut Experience has earned over 5,000 individual uses completely organically, and has been used within agency marketing and pitches to show off OvareGroup’s AR capabilities and sell in additional augmented reality projects.

AR Feature Demo for Retail

An Augmented Reality experience developed by Scoppechio, an OvareGroup Agency, for Haier and GE Appliances. We created this experience to help Haier solve a problem: How to demonstrate and display the lighting features of its Built-In Dishwasher line while unplugged in retail aisles. This QR code-scannable effect was used to help Haier sell Home Depot on the new product line. Concept was co-created by AR developer and designer Charlie Moody, Chief Creative Officer Stephen Childress, and Creative Director Pete Maniscalco. UI elements designed by Peter Ho. Interaction design, animation, programming, and project development executed by Charlie Moody.
